I am Nigerian, and African attire is part of how I style. Your lace, ankara, aso oke and adire are not a separate wardrobe kept for occasions. They are some of the most beautiful pieces you own, and they deserve a place in your everyday story.
In a Revival session we go through your traditional pieces with the same care as your tailoring. We restyle wrappers as skirts, pair ankara with denim and cashmere, refresh old lace with new tailoring, and plan gele and headwrap options that suit your face.

Can my gele and headwraps be styled for more than one occasion?
Yes. We look at the fabric, the fold and the shape that flatters your face, then create two or three variations so one gele works for a wedding, a family event and an evening out.
Is aso oke only for special occasions?
Not at all. Aso oke is beautiful when worn as a jacket, a wrap skirt or even a structured top with denim or tailoring. We treat it as a textile, not a costume.
How do you handle ankara sizing and fit?
Ankara often comes in standard widths and lengths that do not match high street sizing. We measure your body, compare it to the piece, and either style it as is or recommend a trusted tailor for adjustments.
What if my lace, adire or kampala needs repair or remaking?
We keep a short list of specialist tailors who understand Nigerian and West African fabrics. I will help you decide what is worth altering and what is better replaced.
Will you mix African pieces with Western clothes?
That is one of my favourite things to do. Ankara with a crisp shirt. Aso oke over a slip dress. Lace trousers with a fine knit. Your wardrobe becomes richer when both worlds speak to each other.
Do I need to bring every piece to the session?
Bring what you can. For virtual sessions we photograph and catalogue what you own in advance. We also plan around pieces stored at family homes or still being tailored.
