When you book a styling service we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the service you have chosen, your preferred date, your location and any notes you give us about your styling needs. When you contact us we collect your name, email address, your reason for getting in touch and your message. When you subscribe to Style Notes we collect your email address. When you buy from the shop, your name, delivery address, contact details and order contents are collected and processed by Shopify on our behalf. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment providers and are never seen or stored by us. During a styling session you may voluntarily share measurements, sizing, photographs of your wardrobe or personal preferences; we treat this as confidential and only use it to deliver your service.

We use your information to deliver the service or order you have asked for, to communicate with you about your booking, to take payment, to arrange delivery, to answer your enquiries, to send Style Notes if you have subscribed, to keep proper business and tax records, and to improve the service we offer.

Where we process your information to deliver a service or order, our lawful basis is performance of a contract. Where we keep accounting and tax records, our lawful basis is compliance with a legal obligation. Where we send marketing emails, our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. Where we use limited information to run and secure the website, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating our business.

We store one item in your browser's local storage, named shefystyle-cart, which remembers what you have added to your bag so it is still there if you navigate away. It contains no personal information and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. If you accept measurement cookies, we also place cookies set by Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Pinterest, Meta and TikTok. These help us understand how visitors use the site and measure the performance of our advertising. They are loaded only after you choose Accept all. Our checkout and shop pages are provided by Shopify and Stripe, who set their own strictly necessary cookies to process your order securely; their own cookie policies apply on those pages.

You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time. Click the small cookie icon at the bottom left corner of the page to reopen the cookie banner, then select Essential only or Accept all. If you choose Essential only, any measurement cookies already placed will stop collecting new activity, although your browser may keep them until they expire or until you clear them manually.

We share personal information only with the providers who make the website and our services work. Shopify Inc. hosts our shop and processes orders and payments. Stripe, Inc. processes payments for styling services. Supabase stores booking, contact and subscriber records. Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on the site. We also share information with our accountant and, where we are legally required to, with HMRC or other authorities. We never sell your personal information.

We keep booking and order records for seven years, which is the period we are required to retain financial records for tax purposes. We keep enquiry messages for two years. We keep newsletter subscriber details until you unsubscribe. Styling notes, measurements and photographs are kept for two years after your last session unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete your information, to ask us to restrict how we use it, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to receive your information in a portable format. Where you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@shefystyle.com. We will respond within one month.

Some of our providers, including Shopify, Stripe and Supabase, may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision, as required by UK data protection law.
